Match report D&C 2's got off to a good start to the league campaign with a win against Edinburgh South 2's.

Unfortunately due to a number of call offs Edinburgh could only field 8 players - but they to their credit made a good game of it.

The match was reduced to a 20/20 which started after 2 due to the hailstones that fell.

Edinburgh South batted first and managed to post a score of 74 for 4 in their 20 overs. Wickets were taken by Brown, Cammy Harris and Neil Harris one a piece with the other wicket being an expertly taken run out by Jonty Leitch.

D&C then got of to a slow start chasing but then Neil Harris and Brian Brown took the game by the scruff of the neck and knocked the runs off at the end of the 19th over with Brian hitting the winning runs.

The two's now face a trip to Meggatland on Saturday to play their first away league game of the season against Borougmuir 2's
