Match report D&C had a strong team to face Carlton 4's.

Weather didnt look great but we got started. D&C lost the toss and Miller and Honeyford opened. In 10 overs neither looked troubled as they nudged the score along to 20 but with the ball skidding on the wicket and the outfield not being cut due to the weather runs were hard to get flowing. This would not be a big issue as there were plenty big hitters to come - the first target was get to 20 overs with the loss of no wickets leaving the stroke players the 20 overs to attack - but it wasnt to be - the heavens opened.

Early tea was had - then the rain seemed to die down - then when we thought we could go back out the rain got heavier. Game was then abandoned only for the rain to pretty much stop for the rest of the day - easy to see in hindsight but at the time the forecast was grim.

Anyway next game Peebles away.
